The thought had finally crossed my mind that to better illustrate how difficult it is to fix problems in software a better word should be used than just "bug." In fact this almost undermines how difficult it is to debug a system. A friend and I have recently come up with a better word..."dragons."
Yes while at first glance this may seem rather Geeky or perhaps even irrational since there are some who believe that dragons don't exist...but on the contrary..those many stories once told long ago..were just telling of software. Therefore there should no longer be any doubt.
Now when someone says, "Oh that is just a bug.." or "Software Developers are just a dime a dozen..". Remember that each one of us is a Dragon Slayer. That should open a few eyes on software development. Or at least prove software development is so complicated it can turn one insane. :)
